WASHABLE HIGH-WATER-RESISTANT TATAMI MAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary high water-resistant multipurpose tatami mat capable of constructing a bathhouse having a safety tatami-mat laying by a laying in the bathhouse while being used even as a normal parlor tatami mat and the tatami mat for a corridor. SOLUTION: A water-flowing plate having a floating section on an underside is arranged on the lowermost contacting floor face, holding a core layer composed of a foamed synthetic resin while a surface-side water-flowing plate and a mildewproof sheet are laid on the core layer. A tatami mat body is manufactured by covering the whole surface with a tatami-mat facing consisting of a synthetic-fiber rush. A tatami-mat border channel member is fitted detachably at a side edge section orthogonal to the rush for the tatami mat body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
