The invention relates to a method for bonding joining partners, at least one of which is made of a polymer. According to the inventive method, the polymer is first degraded within at least one surface-near layer in a first joining partner, whereupon the first joining partner is joined to another joining partner at the degraded surface-near layer at a certain pressure and at a temperature that lies above the softening temperature of the degraded polymer but below the softening temperature of the non-degraded polymer.
