PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining wall structure of a cylindrical vertical hole easily forming a small-diameter cylindrical earth retaining wall by driving H-shaped steels in the ground in parallel to one another into a circular shape. SOLUTION: This earth retaining wall structure of the cylindrical vertical hole is so constituted that the H-shaped steels 8 are driven in the ground 12 in parallel to one another into a circular shape, and front flange plates 10 and rear flange plates 11 of the respective H-shaped steels 8 are arranged into the cylindrical shape by the driving of the H-shaped steels 8 so as to form the cylindrical earth retaining wall 13. Split cylinders 16 extending in the extending direction of the flange plates 10 are attached to the left rear surfaces and the right rear surfaces of the respective front flange plates 10, split grooves 17 of the split cylinders 16 are opposed to each other between the adjoining H-shaped steels 8, and the left/right edge parts of sheathings 18 are inserted into the split grooves 17 of the opposed both split cylinders 16 to close the clearance 15 between the front flanges 10 of the respective H-shaped steels 8, so that the soil is prevented from flowing into the cylindrical vertical hole 14 excavated in the cylindrical earth retaining wall 13.
