PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a quick joining work and minimize the loss of a web in a method for joining the web to be fed from an uniaxial fixed type feeder using a tape. SOLUTION: Two joining devices 24 and 27 are disposed between two fixed type feeders 11 and 12 and their joining surfaces 24A and 72A are opposed to each other. When performing the joining work, if the tip part of a new web W2 is prefixed to the joining surface 72A of the joining device 72 in the side of the fixed type feeder 12 for feeding the new web W2, it does not obstruct the running of an old web W1 fed from the fixed type feeder 11. This constitution allows the quick joining work after cutting the old web W1 so as to shorten the joining time. This constitution also allows a worker to enter between the joining devices 24 and 27 and perform the joining work so as to reduce the moving distance of the worker and improve the working efficiency.
