PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing in which backlash phenomenon in feeding out of a fishline is prevented with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This electric reel for fishing is equipped with a spool rotatably supported by a reel body, a spool motor for carrying out wind driving of the spool, a planet decelerating mechanism for decelerating a drive force of the spool motor and transmitting the force to the spool and a clutch mechanism for changing over the spool into a fishline winding state and a free rotation state. In the electric reel, the planet decelerating mechanism is constituted so that the spool is made rotatable in fishline winding direction by the spool motor driving in a free rotating state of the spool by the clutch mechanism, and rotation force in the fishline winding direction is applied to the spool by driving motor when fishline in free rotation state of the spool is fed out.
