PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid disadvantage that a whole system runs away by preventing memories from being destroyed in a work area due to a malfunction of a program for drawing, when a system employs UMA. SOLUTION: When an address signal for accessing a work area 3a of a memory 3 is inputted from a GDC 2, the inputted address signal is converted into an address signal for a graphic area 3b and outputted by a memory controller 4. Even if the GDC 2 is erroneously going to access the work area 3a of a CPU 1 due to malfunction, etc. of application, restrictions can be imposed thereon so as to inhibit such access.
