METHOD FOR TREATING THERMAL TRANSFER INK RIBBON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase print information surely from an ink ribbon after printing. SOLUTION: A print ink ribbon 6 having an ink layer 6a formed on one side is wound around a winding reel 20 led out from a print feed roll 7. When a print pattern is transferred by means of a thermal head 4, a trace of stripped ink is formed on the ink layer 6a of the print ribbon 6. Printed ink layer 6a of the print ribbon 6 is applied to the ink layer 30a of an erasure ink ribbon 30. The erasure ink ribbon 30 and the print ribbon 6 are integrated by means of heating rollers 18 and 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
