PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bath unit for nursing which makes the persons to be nursed themselves feel satisfied sufficiently while achieving a higher safety for the attendants operating the unit along with a higher bathing effect. SOLUTION: Hot water is supplied to a bath tub 12 from a hot water storage tank 11 to a level that allows the bathing person P housed therein to get the lower half of the body immersed therein and after a specified time of the half-body bathing, the hot water is discharged. Thereafter, the bath tub 12 is so tilted that the body of the bathing person P lies thereon and under such a condition, the water is supplied from the hot water storage tank 11 until the bathing person P gets the upper half of the body immersed therein and the full body bathing is done for a specified time. In this manner, after the lower half body of the bathing person is washed by the first half-body bathing, the second full body bathing is carried out by the clean hot water replaced. Thus, the bathing is accomplished very hygienically thereby allowing the bathing persons to enjoy comfortable bathing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
