PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle module capable of preventing leakage of light more surely by a simple structure, a method for manufacturing the optical receptacle module, and a method for intercepting leakage light of the optical receptacle module. SOLUTION: This optical receptacle module to be optically coupled with an inserted plug ferrule includes a first fiber stub whose one end is gripped by a sleeve, and a second fiber stub provided in the sleeve separately from the first fiber stub when the plug ferrule is not inserted. In the optical receptacle module, when the plug ferrule is pulled out after being inserted, the sleeve is rotated in the circumferential direction, while being moved in the pulling-out direction together with the second fiber stub.
