PURPOSE: A method for coloring stone is provided to give various colors and textures of stone for interiors, exteriors and decoration, and protect environment due to no use of stone or pigment powder in coloring unlike conventional method. CONSTITUTION: The coloring method comprises the steps of: (S1) cutting stone to an effective size and trimming stone; (S2) washing stone with high pressure air; (S3) mixing 1-10wt.% of oil colorant, 70-98wt.% of diluting agent, 1-15wt.% of polymer resin(fluoride resin) and 0.1-1wt.% of UV-blocking agent to dissolve infiltrating pigments in oil colorant(oil stain) and dissolving oil soluble dyes in a diluting agent, hydrocarbon carbon containing resin, varnish, etc; (S4) dissolving pigments such as glacial acetic acid(C2H4O2) and alum(MAl(SO4)2·12H2O, M: monovalent ion) in small amounts of HCl; (S5) immersing stones in coloring agent prepared at the step (S3) and (S4), and applying ultrasonic waves; (S6) drying colored stones with strong heat arising from shut-off electricity, and washing with a mixture of 50-90wt.% of toluene, 5-20wt.% of acetic acid and 5-10wt.% of alcohol; coating stone with liquid consisting of 70-95wt.% of diluting agent, 5-15wt.% of polymer resin(fluoride resin) and 0.1-10wt.% of UV blocking agent.
