PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod (bait casting rod) which is prevented from being brought into contact with a fishing line. SOLUTION: A fishing rod body 11 is equipped with a plurality of fishing line guides 13. The fishing line guides 13 are each equipped with an urging mechanism 17 for urging a fishing line 27 in the radial direction of the fishing rod body 11. The urging mechanism 17 is constituted of the fishing line placing surface 28 of a guide ring 19.
