<p>The affected bones (B, D) of the great toe (1) are provided with straight (2, 3) transversal or wedge-shaped (4) cuts as required across two thirds of their diameters in a first step. A C-shaped device holding a spindle divided into two halves with corresponding outer threads and operated with a knurled nut is attached to the bones (2, 3) with wires guided though the bone, anchored at the opposite side and secured with fixing screws at the upper side of the device.</p> |
