PURPOSE: A method for converting a broadcasting signal of a combo type settop box is provided to allow users to watch the satellite broadcasting, ground broadcasting or cable broadcasting by using the integrated database. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S100) of permitting the user to input the service to watch; a step(S110) of permitting the man machine interface module to transmit the service table information for the service selected by the user to the channel module; a step(S120) of permitting the channel module to determine the service table information and receive a satellite or ground signal; a step(S130) of permitting the program specific information module to analyze the received satellite or ground signal and update the service table information stored in the database; and a step(S140) of permitting the man machine interface module to provide the service in accordance with the received satellite or ground signal.
