<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner that reinforces the strength sufficiently and prevents distortion without changing the basic configuration of the indoor unit body when a lead-out port is formed on the body for a pipe or wire. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit is configured of a housing 21 where a top board portion 21b is fitted into a distorted rectangular frame like side board portion 21c and an insulating material 22, as an indoor unit main body 20 and is fixed under the roof. In the body 20, there are a heat exchanger 24 and a blower 23 placed on a drain pan 25, and an output portion 35 is formed by removing a certain portions of the housing 21 and the insulating materials 22 from end edges for leading out a pipe 39 connected at least to the heat exchanger 24. A reinforcing fixing fitting 40 is formed on the lead-out portion 35, and the fitting 40 restricts partial deformation of the metal plate housing fixed closely to the insulating material 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
