<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is not possible to measure the paper powder amount of a recording sheet at least before image information is transferred to the recording sheet and decide the kind and property, etc., of the recording sheet on the basis of the result in the conventional method of deciding the kind of the recording sheet by measuring the paper powder amount. <P>SOLUTION: A paper powder sensor 13 measures the paper powder amount of a paper sheet P at a position more on the upstream side than the position of a transfer device 6 in a carrying path 32 and the kind of the paper sheet P is decided. While the paper sheet P whose paper powder amount is measured is carried to the position of the transfer device 6, a transfer condition in transferring the image information to the paper sheet P is set corresponding to the kind of the paper sheet P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
