PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device capable of compensating an influence of a voltage drop by a small chip and to provide an image display device provided with the same. SOLUTION: The driving device has a correction circuit which corrects a voltage variation of a row selection signal, which is caused by an on-state resistance 17 of an output stage 15 of a row driving circuit 14 and a current flowing to a selected row line in accordance with gradation information, and a column driving circuit 12 generates modulation signals modulated by gradation information so as to suppress the quick change of the current flowing to the selected row line, and thus the driving device which is of low-cost and simple is provided.
