PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which mainly prevents a degradation in shutter speed precision. SOLUTION: The shutter device has a light shielding member capable of opening and closing a light passage hole, a driving member for driving the light shielding member to open and close it by rotating operation, and a substrate for rotatably supporting the driving member and makes the light shielding member run to perform exposure through a formed slit, and has a braking member which energizes the driving member toward the substrate in the direction of a revolving shaft of the driving member and gives a braking force to the rotating operation of the driving member in the latter half of exposure.
