PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately water plants even when a greening anchoring plate or the like is used. SOLUTION: A greening structure 31 comprises: a greening water-retaining sheet 1 mounted on the surface of bedrock 11 serving as the basis for greening; a greening anchoring structure 12 stacked over the sheet; and a planting base material 15 stacked over the structure. The sheet 1 comprises a water-permeable bag with a water-retaining agent sealed therein. The water-retaining agent is composed of a material having alkali resistance and moisture absorbability/releasability and capable of retaining water containing alkali components composed chiefly of calcium ions. More specifically, the water-retaining agent is composed of PNVA (poly-N-vinylacetamide) obtained by polymerization with NVA (N-vinylacetamide) as the main monomer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
