PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite transmission apparatus and a radio base station in which a rapid change in a composite weight is prevented. SOLUTION: In a sector unit 11 comprising the radio base station for radio communications with a radio terminal, composite weights Wa and Wb are multiplied to a plurality of branch signals branched from a transmitting signal by multipliers 23a and 23b, signals outputted from the multipliers 23a and 23b are transmitted by radio from antennas 25a and 25b, the composite weights Wa and Wb are generated by a composite weight generating part 30 such that a composite radio signal generated in the air has desired directivity, and the composite weights Wa and Wb are outputted to the multipliers 23a and 23b in variable timings by a timing generating part 32.
