PURPOSE: An auxiliary charging device is provided to prevent a battery discharge by charging the battery with the current generated from the motor by the rotation of the cooling fan. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary charging device comprises a battery(22) for supplying a power; a motor(28) for receiving the power from the battery and compulsorily rotating a cooling fan(29), or generating a current by the reverse rotation of the cooling fan during travel of motor vehicle; a rectifier(20) for rectifying the current generated from the motor and supplying the rectified current to the battery; a switch(24) for selectively and electrically connecting the motor to the battery or the rectifier; and a control unit(26) connected to the switch, wherein the control unit controls the motor to be selectively and electrically connected to the battery or the rectifier.
