PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an effective navigation relating to moving image contents. SOLUTION: In a device for reproducing moving images, a judgement means 36 judges if relevant information related to an object appearing in the moving image content is selected or not. When the relevant information is selected, a decision means 36 determines an appearance position in the moving image content where the object comes in, and a disappearance position in the moving image content where the object disappears. Reproduction means 2, 31, 32 and 36 reproduce a portion of the content in which the object appears based on the appearance and disappearance positions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
