An optical head comprising a light flux separating means (35) for respectively diffracting a plurality of light fluxes in regions (32a, 32b) where a light quantity is changed by a change in relative angle between an information recording medium and an object lens and by the shift of the object lens in the radial direction of the information recording medium out of regions where the reflection straight-forward light of a reflection light from the information recording medium almost interfere with a ± first-order diffracted light by the information track of the information recording medium, light receiving elements (36a, 36b) for receiving light fluxes reflected off the information recording medium and separated by the light flux separating means (35), and an operation circuit for correcting an electric signal value detected by light receiving elements (36a, 36b) according to a radial-direction position signal corresponding to the radial-direction shift amount of the object lens with respect to the information recording medium to detect a relative angle between the information recording medium and the object lens.
