A 1H-imidazopyridine derivative represented by the following general formula (I) or a salt thereof having an inhibitory action against production of a cytokine: wherein R<1 >represents hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or an aryl group; R<2 >represents a cycloalkyl group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, cyano group, mercapto group, carboxyl group, or carbamoyl group; ring A represents a homocyclic or heterocyclic ring; R<3 >represents an amino group or a saturated nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; and k represents an integer of from 0 to 3; provided that the compound wherein R<3 >represents a saturated nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group and R<2 >is a non-substituted alkyl group is excluded.
