A restraint for a vehicle body and/or fitments thereupon comprises a plurality of mounts (see figures 8 and 9) for location at spaced points about the body, and a plurality of restraint straps 15,16 extending between the mounts so as to overlie the body and act as a secure containment. The straps may have detachable couplings at their ends (figure 1E) and may also have tensioning means (figure 1D). The straps may overlie a battery compartment or cover therefor of an electric fork lift truck. In addition the straps may be integrated with a seat or seat belt mounting (see figure 3). The straps may be located to either side of the vehicle seat and may have various configurations (see figures 4 to 7). |
