The scooter (1) has an actuation bar (50) whose lower end moves together with a horizontal rack (75) in reciprocative movement via the ends of several connecting rods (71-74). The lower end of the actuation bar pivotally locates at the top of a head tube shaft (20) for swinging movement. During the reciprocative movement of the horizontal rack caused by the swinging of the actuation bar, the forward strike of the rack drives a unidirectional gear and the backward stroke another unidirectional gear. The movement of the rack also drives the end gear in both strokes and both directions through the reduction gears so as to accelerate a pair of rear wheels (80) forward continuously. The front end of a platform (10) is connected to the head tube shaft. A front fork (30) has an upper end inserted into the head tube shaft, and a lower end rotatably pivoted to a front wheel (40). A gear box (60) includes unidirectional gears supported on shafts, and reduction gears and end gear provided below the platform. The rear wheels are rotatably supported on the shaft of the end gear in the gear box.
