The waste material collection and disposal (1) vehicle has a container lifting and tipping device and a mobile frame on which is a loading space with an input aperture (7), in front of which is a downward pouring exit (8), near to which is a container (11) lifting and tipping device (9). A feed device feeds material from the downward pouring exit into the loading space. A level detection device (13) detects the level of material in the downward pouring exit and to it is connected an activation and control unit for the lifting and tipping device when a predetermined value of the level of the container content is exceeded.
