PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe current controlled external power supply unit which can stabilize the control by effectively attenuating AC components contained in a probe current and also can speed up the control response of a cathode corrosionproof current. SOLUTION: This power unit is equipped with a power control circuit 220 which supplies a corrosionproof current via a switching-on electrode 23 and a current control circuit 230 which controls the above corrosionproof current, based on the probe current detected through a probe 24. The current control circuit 230 has a filter circuit 232 and a phase compensating circuit 238 which performs the phase compensation of the output from the filter circuit 232. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
