PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation information providing system for transportation facilities, with which a stop of transportation facilities which exists near a present position can immediately be recognized and operation information relative to the stop can easily be obtained even if a user does not know the name of the stop of transportation facilities and a route name. SOLUTION: The system is composed of a personal digital assistant provided with a present location information acquiring means grasping user's present location and a present location information transmission means transmitting acquired present location information to a management center, and of the management center provided with a portable information terminal location information receiving means receiving present location information on the personal digital assistant and an operation information extraction means retrieving the stop of transportation facilities, which exists near the present position, from traffic information on the basis of present location information transmitted from the personal digital assistant and extracting operation information on the stop.
