The thermoplastic carrier bag has turned and bonded edges (6) at least where the ends (9) of the carrier handle are to be bonded to the respective side walls (3). The ends (9) of the carrier handle and the turned edges (6) of the side walls (3) are bonded together by a pref. hot melt adhesive.
