OLIGOARYLENE DERIVATIVE AND ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oligoarylene derivative which emits blue light in high luminous efficiency and an organic electroluminescent element using the same.

SOLUTION: The oligoarylene derivative is represented by formula (1): Ar1-Ch-Ar2 or (2): Ch1-L-Ch2 (Ch, Ch1 and Ch2 are each a substituted or nonsubstituted condensed aromatic ring having 14-20 number of nucleus carbons; AR1 and Ar2 are a substituted or nonsubstituted aryl group having 5-30 number of nucleus atoms; L is a connecting group). In the organic electroluminescent element in which an organic thin film layer composed of one layer or a plurality of layers containing at least a luminescent layer is laid between a cathode and an anode, at least one layer of the organic thin layer contains the oligoarylene derivative alone or as a component of a mixture.
