Manufacture of cutouts used in construction of packaging involves a gripper (10) with tongues (11') pulling on the edge (8) of a workpiece (5) with grooves or separation lines (7,9) defining edges of packaging blanks (6-6'''). The manufacturing system incorporates a separating tool (3) with cutouts (4-4''') shaped like the packaging blanks. The separating frame is attached to carrier rails (1',1'') on either side.
