PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nodal point drive type layout editing device that is excellent in operability and inexpensive, and has a cross-reference function. SOLUTION: The disclosed layout editing device is the nodal point drive type layout editing device having a circuit schematic reading means 2 reading reference circuit schematic data 9 outputted from circuit schematic editing devices 81, 82, ...8n and converts the reference circuit schematic data 9 into an internal form, a circuit schematic indicating window 5 indicating the red circuit schematic, and a layout editing window 4 structured to indicate the layout of circuit components and edit that. Communicating means 4a, 5a are provided between the circuit schematic indicating window and the layout editing window. By communication between the windows, cross-reference is enabled between the circuit schematic indicated in the circuit schematic indicating window and the layout indicated in the layout editing window.
