PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely accurately measure location information, using a portable telephone terminal or a portable information terminal having a position information measuring means such as GPS, etc., with a position measuring error. SOLUTION: A terminal 1 transfers position information measured by its position information measuring means 19 and allowable error information thereof to an address information/position information retrieving means 20 of a position information measuring support server 2. This retrieving means 20 calculates a terminal locatable area from these information to return address information in this area to a whole controller 10 of the portable telephone terminal 1. The whole controller 10 transfers an address determined by the selection of a user, etc. to the retrieving means 20. The retrieving means 20 retrieves position information corresponding to the determined address from a corresponding table 201 and returns the information to the whole controller 10. The whole controller 10 receives the position information of the retrieved address and sends the information to utilizing or necessary facilities as an exact location of the terminal.
