PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed controller which can surely detect a sign and permits inputting of information from outside the vehicle, for a vehicle which a driver drives by operating a steering wheel manually on a track with the buried sign indicating an indicated vehicle speed or the like. SOLUTION: In the vehicle speed controller comprising the vehicle 30 driven by the driver, the predetermined track 33 on which the vehicle 30 travels, information input means 34 provided on the track 33, and the vehicle speed controller having sensors 35a, 35b provided on a vehicle side for reading information from the information input means 34, and a control circuit for automatically controlling a braking device based on the read information, the information input means 34 are provided over a predetermined width on the track 33.
