PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a coin type lithium cell having an excellent characteristic, high reliability and high stability, wherein a lithium metal cut body having a desired dimension is formed on a negative electrode sealing cover body so as to closely contact the negative electrode sealing cover body. SOLUTION: A lithium metal cut body is formed on the negative electrode sealing cover body by using a punch 37 having a bowl recess 36, and flattened by using a punch 38 having a flat surface. The recently cut surface of the lithium metal cut body is arranged on the bottom surface of the negative electrode sealing cover body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
