PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid damage to a rope to the utmost when pressingly clamping the intersection of the rope, which clamps the rope at a large pressing area to develop a required large draw-out resistance. SOLUTION: The rope clamper is provided with an intermediate member 12 disposed between both ropes 2, 3 in the intersection of the ropes, a first lid member 11 clamping one rope with cooperation with the intermediate member, a second lid member 13 clamping the other rope with cooperation with the intermediate member. A first fitting upper groove 11a and a first fitting lower groove 12a fitting the rope 2 positioning at the first lid member side and clamping it to prevent the rope from displacing are formed at the opposite faces, in the first lid member 11 and the intermediate member 12. Meanwhile, the rope 3 positioning at the second lid member side is fitted and clamped in the intermediate member 12 and the second lid member 13 and the second fitting upper groove 12b and the second fitting lower groove 13b preventing displacement of the rope are formed at the opposite faces.
