A method of purifying a biosubstance, comprising bringing an aqueous solution of biosubstance into contact with an electrolytically breakable affinity carrier and applying voltage to the aqueous solution so as to break the electrolytically breakable affinity carrier, thereby recovering the biosubstance. The electrolytically breakable affinity carrier is characterized in that it comprises a solid carrier and, bonded thereto through an electrolytically breakable linker, a ligand and is broken upon application of voltage. This method enables easily obtaining desired biosubstance with high recovery rate.
