<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen flame-retardant resin composition having high acidproofness and generating no halogen gas when burnt, and to provide electric wires and cables each coated with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The acidproof flame-retardant resin composition comprises 100 pts. mass of a halogen-free synthetic resin, 60-100 pts. mass of magnesium hydroxide powder surface-coated with at least one kind selected from fatty acid, fatty acid metal salt, silane coupling agent, aluminum-based coupling agent, titanate-based coupling agent and phosphoric ester, and 4-10 pts. mass of organomodified clay. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
