<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia removal equipment for wastewater achieving the reduction of NPSH (net positive suction head) and the installation height of a diffusion column on the basis of the lowering of the water temperature on the suction side of a treated water pump, low in equipment cost and installation cost and having good maintenance properties. <P>SOLUTION: In the ammonia removal equipment for wastewater equipped with an ammonia diffusion column 1 for stripping ammonia in water to be treated by steam to diffuse the same, a catalytic combuster 2 for removing this diffused ammonia, a preheater for preheating water to be treated by treated water subjected to steam stripping treatment, a biological treatment device 4 for biologically treating treated water and the treated water pump 5 for feeding treated water to the biological treatment device 4 from the water tank part 1a provided to the lower part of the ammonia diffusion column, the preheater comprises a coil-like pipe 3a, for example, to the water tank part 1a provided to the lower part of the ammonia diffusion column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
