PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch input and output signals with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The video sound equipment comprises a first terminal for transmitting the signal of specified kind, and a second terminal for transmitting the signal which is different from the signal of specified kind with the second shared terminal. When assuming as a shared terminal, in order to automatically and accurately switch the kind of signal, a connection detecting means detects whether a plug is connected to the first terminal or not. The switching means switches kind of signal transmitted by the second terminal depending on whether the connection detecting means detects connection of the plug, or it does not detect connection of the plug.
