PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk clamping mechanism which enables a prescribed pressurizing force to be obtained through a simple and inexpensive mechanism, which reduces machining time and which clamps a magnetic disk in a short time. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk is equipped at least with a hub 8 which is supported freely rotatably on the outer circumference of a spindle 3 and which is formed with a cylindrical body 9 on the outer circumference of bearings 14, 15 and a placing face 11 in the radial direction; a magnetic disk 10 which is placed on the placing face 11, with the center hole inserted into the body 9; and a clamp which fixedly pressurizes the magnetic disk 10 to the placing face 11. With an engaging groove 9a formed on the outer circumference of the body 9, there is restrained in the engaging groove 9a one small diameter end of a clamp spring 12 which is composed of a thin elastic member with the outside shaped nearly in a truncated cone. The other large diameter end of the clamp spring is abutted on the periphery of the center hole of the magnetic disk 10, pressing the magnetic disk 10 against the placing face 11 of the hub 8 by the elasticity of the clamp spring 12.
