The driver cab (15) has left and right side walls (13,13') each provided with a side window (5) and an opening door (2), with a wall section (16) located behind the door in the travel direction. The door and the wall section are provided with cladding panels (27,27') having aligned edges (3,3') between the side window and the door handle (7), with a door panel (6) fitted to the door and a wall panel (4) fitted to the wall section each made of plastics or a lightweight metal. An Independent claim for a component system for assembly of a side wall for a driver cab of a truck is also included.
