PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbent having excellent characteristics compared to the conventional gas adsorbent.

SOLUTION: The gas adsorbent 1 comprises an adsorbent (A) 2 showing the behavior of the adsorption isothermal curve coincident with the desorption isothermal curve of gas and an adsorbent (B) 3 coating the above adsorbent (A) and showing the hysteresis loop of the absorption desorption isothermal curves for at least one kind of gas.
