PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set the address of each indoor unit using an air-conditioner network system. SOLUTION: Each indoor unit 11 is provided with a first communication terminal 11a without a communication shutting means and a second communication terminal 11b with a communication shutting means 11c. The adjacent indoor units 11 are connected in series by connecting the second communication terminal 11b of one indoor unit to the first communication terminal 11a of the other indoor unit to form a network bus. The leading indoor unit 11 is connected to an outdoor unit 10. Address setting information is transmitted from the outdoor unit 10. For the indoor unit 11 whose address is yet to be set, the communication shutting means 11c is temporarily turned on to set an address for its own machine. Thereafter, the communication shutting means 11c is turned off and address setting information indicating a different address from the address set for the machine is transmitted to the downstream indoor unit.
