PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the exhaust pipe structure for an internal combustion engine capable of restricting the generation of exhaust noise, while restricting an arrangement change of structural parts and a dimension increase of a muffler. SOLUTION: An inside pipe 25 and a catalyst case 31 are connected to each other, and an outside pipe 26 and an outside cylinder part 33, which covers the hole of the peripheral surface of the catalyst case 31 with a distance from the peripheral surface thereof and to which a catalyst rear end pipe 34 is connected, are connected to each other. A dividing plate 36 for dividing a space 35 between the outer peripheral surface of the catalyst case 31 and the inner peripheral surface of the outside cylinder part 33 into an upstream side division chamber 35 and a downstream side division chamber 35b is provided in the outside cylinder part 33. A resonance opening 37 for communicating a space 26a between the outer peripheral surface of the inside pipe 25 and the inner peripheral surface of the outside pipe 26 with an inside space 25a of the inside pipe 25 is provided in a wall surface of the inside pipe 25, and a resonance pipe is formed in the space 26a in the downstream of the center of the resonance opening 37.
