<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a deliverer to collect money which allows him/her to store a good in a home delivery box when an addressee is absent, even in delivery of the good specified as cash on delivery. <P>SOLUTION: In the home delivery box 6, an addressee room number and a code for the delivery is inputted by the deliverer, the addressee room number is displayed, the code for the delivery and a payment completion code are set in a memory as unlocking conditions, it is locked after the good 8 is put inside, and a deliverer name or the like and the code of the delivery are printed as a bar code in an absent slip 5. A POS register 11 carries a settlement process with a computer 14 of the deliverer when a settlement process by using the absent slip by the delivery receiver is received, and it issues a receipt 12 printed with a bar code indicating the code of the delivery and a bar code indicating that a charge has been settled. The home delivery box 6 unlocks when a result of reading the bar codes of the receipt 12 by a bar code reading means matches with the unlocking conditions set in the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
