PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely shorten the term of works by forming a foundation structure made lighter than conventional structures and not sunk deeply even by an installation on a soft ground and minimally inhibiting social and economical losses such as a road block, the traffic regulation of a partial lane or the like because the foundation structure may be manufactured at a site. SOLUTION: A foundation 1 in which a cavity 10 is formed on the inside and a leg section 2A is disposed upright on an upper section is adopted. A floating material having a weight per unit volume lighter than its own skeleton is installed in the cavity. A construction method for a bridge, in which the foundation having the cavity in the inside is mounted on a ground and the leg section for the bridge separately manufactured on a working yard is disposed upright on the foundation, is provided.
