PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an AEC sensor separately to thereby avoid the degrading of a picture caused by arranging, as a conventional manner, the AEC sensor on a radiographic picture photographing apparatus causing an image sensor to receive attenuated radiation and to make an apparatus body compact. SOLUTION: The radiographic picture photographing apparatus comprises a first optical conversion element 8 for converting incident radiation of an electric signal and generates picture information based on the electric signal outputted from the element 8. At the lower site of the first optical conversion element 8 matched with the gap of the first element 8, a plurality of second optical conversion elements 9 for detecting the incident amount of radiation from the gap is provided. Based on detected results by the elements 9, exposure control to the incident radiation and control of the optical conversion elements are performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
