Misfire detector for IC engine

摘要

A revolution rate detector has a rotor and sensor mounted on the crankshaft of the engine to detect revolution rate signals corresp. to ignition periods. A detector of persistent misfires and a detector of intermittent misfires are provided, both of which evaluate the revolution rate signal. The persistent misfire detector contains an arithmetic unit which computes the rate of variation of the revolution rate of a defined segment of the rotor.
