A method for fitting a sun visor into a vehicle has a one piece plastic moulded clip (1) with an open profile to grip the swivel axle of a sun visor. The underside of the clip has one set of ratchet grips (13, 15) to fasten into a prepared hole in the interior trim, and a larger sect of ratchet grips to fasten into a hole in the support frame mounted to the vehicle body. This provides a simple fitting without separate threaded fasteners. Retaining spring clips are fitted into the open profile grip to hold the visor in selected positions. The clip is further secured by a clamping wedge pushed into the clip after fitting into the vehicle.
